I have recently been in love with line arts. They are simple, clean and have so much character to them, The most basic of any shapes, and foundation for many others.
I have been using Adobe illustr ator to make these with the little aid from Wacom Bamboo.
About the work above. This is Garuda.
Garuda is a mythical creature from Hindu and Buddhist mythology. It is commonly associated with the role of a guard, and is usually depicted atop door frames in Nepal. Above picture is one such portrayal.
According to Hindu mythology, Garuda was born to Kashyapa muni and Vinata, and is brother to Aruna (the red-glow of dawn) and half-brother to 1000 serpents born to step-mother Kadru. His half-brothers are seen to be followers of daittya, and so Garuda is seen protecting the world against his half-brothers. A fighter, he is usually depicted in myth - to have fought alongside Vishnu in various stories.
